Ukara-Ekpe is a hand-dyed cloth reserved for members of the Ekpe secret society in southeastern Nigeria. Dyed in deep indigo and embroidered or painted with nsibidi symbols, each Ukara cloth tells a story of identity, spirituality, and hierarchy.
